Next Swapkins...

When is the next one? I think that room at the Depot would be a great place for it!! There were a bunch of tables and lots of room. I have a TON of clothes to get rid of!! Maybe the Depot can be our cold weather quarterly coffee spot and Stillwater in the nice weather. Thank you Amy for organizing that, what a great location!!!

Alayna!!! You posted...does this mean mama was okay about the camera or have you not told her yet??? Thanks for all the info you shared with me today about your surgeon, that was great to learn so much! Next Swapkins is being set up by BarbK so hopefully she responds to you. I think she was looking at a location closer to Egan, but The Depot did love having us today so hopefully we can get back there. That room was spacious enough that's for sure. Thanks for being there today - YOU LOOK FAB-TASTIC!!!

I'm looking at a place in Eagan (church that has a huge room, a bunch of tables and chairs and a full kitchen).  I was planing late May or early June in the afternoon on a Saturday with a potluck -- not dependent on weather and won't have to pay for food because laying out the clothes and then packing up to go to a shelter takes a while and us girlies do have a schedule of protein eating to follow!!! The "events" person was on vacation this past week so I'll be posting soon on the place, date and times. But good idea!!!  And if you need a place to store the clothes, I have a humungo storage area in my home so I could store them for you.  You could just make arrangements with someone who lives around you that comes to group and I could pick up from them. XXOO

Having gone to my first Swapkins last June and hosting the one last September, I've gotta say that I don't think the Depot would be the best venue for it - That room was probably big enough, but didn't have nearly enough tables.  And having to share the bathroom with John Q. Public would make trying things on rather difficult.  Having a facility where we're the only activity going on would be preferable, IMHO... As a spot for a social gathering?  It was AWESOME!!!

OMG I can't wait to hit the swapkins this spring. I cleaned out my dresser and closet when I got home Saturday and have 3 huge trash bags full of stuff thats too big... I didn't even realize I had that many clothes!  Saturday was so fun thanks so much Amy for setting that up!
