I had my 9 month post-op check with Carol today. My BMI is down 22 points (amazing), I am down 126 pounds from the start of the liquid diet, I am 13 pounds from Dr. Svendsen's goal (blows me away). Carol told me that at one year the average patient has lost between 62% and 75% of their extra weight. I have lost 67% at 9 months! This has truly been an amazing journey. Thanks for all the support provided by all of you here on this board!! Amy

Amy, That is so great! You are such a beautiful person inside and out! I have your flowers near my bed and think of you and how successful you have been with this whole new tool. Amy, You look amazing and I can imagine how great you must (and should) feel about your success thus far! Can't wait to see where you are at 1 year! Isn't it funny how after the surgery we look forward to going to checkups and discussing our weight? I absolutely dreaded it prior to my RNY.
