I agree that PNC is awesome.  I think that all of your fears are totally normal.  I remember going through and thinking many of them myself.  I know that PNC will do their best to get all the t's crossed and i's dotted when they submit the request for approval to your insurance.  I am not sure about the whole thing with no co-morbidities, perhaps BSBC will look at it as a good preventative, which it is.  I am really struggling right now with cravings for sweets, but I know that I can not have them since I would end up sick and I do not want that to happen.  So, I just keep telling myself that I made the decision to not have that in my life anymore.  I also ate some SF breathmints that were sweet tasting and that seemed to help.  I really hope that everything works out and that BCBS approves your surgery.  I will say a prayer for you that all goes well.

Hi Cooby and welcome!   Eeryone has given you such great replies that I can't add much except maybe....I love, love, love sweets but now, I control them, they don't control me!!!  I've found things I loved....glazed donuts...taste absolutely awful now!  It's all a learning experience and with the support of others, it makes it easier to succeed. Best wishes to you!! Great choice in Doctor's by the way!!

Welcome CoobyD!   I don't know what else to add.  Everyone has pretty much written what I was going to say.  Again, the support groups through PNC, coffee groups, the MN OH board ROCKS!  Talking to everyday people who have gone or are going through the same things you're experiencing right now is what I have done and I am very thankful for them! Welcome, Good Luck, and Hope to see you at Eagan or Lakeville coffee!!! Colleen PS-Dr. Svendsen ROCKS!!!-you made a good choice! ;)

Cooby- I can see you have recieved fantastic advice above. I just wanted to pop in to welcome you. So, welcome!  I agree with the need for support groups and coffee groups. They are a fantastic way to meet others going through this, and to get informations. Good luck with your journey. Stay strong! Lori
