OT - Broken Finger
Well, my staff has laughed at the fact it's my MIDDLE finger and many have asked if I'm flipping them off (jokingly, of course). It's much better today and thanks for the healing vibes!

Yeah, a little Tylenol PM seems to be doing the trick. I just wish I knew if I'd lose the nail - it seems to be hanging on for dear life!

Ohmigosh Shannin, I HONESTLY DO feel your pain! I pulled a similar 'stupid' nine years ago --all for bringing in groceries,and going up three stair flights, and stopping the door behind me with my right hand, til BOOM! The fire door slammed shut on my right hand and open-broke the middle and ring fingers! Didn't even realize how serious it was until seeing blood gush all over, then seeing the ring fingertip hanging from the open nail bed..then not getting the blood gushing to stop, drove myself from South Mpls to Fairview Southdale ER writhing and howling in pain. Got a couple really strange looks on the way! And it was the day before starting a new job! Couldn't call in 'sick' and say 'I can't come to work today, I (open-)broke my finger!' Needless to say, they gave me two paid days off and it was about six weeks til being able to type with it! Yes, I sure do know how it feels, and sure hope you got good pain killers for it! Fortunately my clean breaks were on the knuckles and right between. Hang in there, and eventually you WILL be able to laugh yourself silly over having done it! Gentle hugs galore, Patti

Wow - two fingers?! Ouch! I have really perfected the 4-finger type, so no work missed 
much to my chagrin. It was amazing how much blood seeped from the nail bed, but it looks like that is under control now. No good pain killers, but it's much better today and a lot less painful!
