OT - Broken Finger

FYI - don't slam your right middle finger in the car door!. Very painful and hard to type. I split the nail through the nail bed (all the way through) and I'm in a splint. Ugh. It's hard to type and there is pain and I will probably lose my nail. The last knuckle is broken and I have a fracture of the nail bed. The good news is that the break is clean and straight. It's more ugly than painful, but I keep hitting it on things. At least it's stopped bleeding....

Hi Shannin I'm sorry that you broke your finger. Hope it heels fast for you. I hear ya on the typing aspect......about 6 years ago, I broke my left wrist and was in a cast for 8 or 9 weeks. It took a while longer to heal than normal. Even tho I'm right handed, it was still a drag to have to type only with my right hand. Sending healing hugs to you. Peggy

Hey, Peggy - I am really perfecting the four-finger type! It's much better today and the nail looks like it might stay (thank goodness for fake nails!). Thanks for the hugs - they have really helped!

ONE session at a time is all I can do, multitasking is a fine art that I am still trying to master.

Thanks for the hugs! Tylenol PM has really helped and it's much better today, although my typing still leaves something to be desired! Hope to see you all soon!

OUCH!! That sucks. Especially when you need to type for your job. Good luck with that one! Hope you heal fast.  Lori

That's the finger I got slammed in a house door when I was young. I lost the nail and it's been a tad bit misshapen (kinda like me!) ever since. It hurts and it will be ugly, black/blue/purples.  Big Hugs, Farrah

You're not misshapen! Maybe a little warped, but that's what we love about you!
