Thank you all for your suggestions, I ended up trying Aveeno anti-itch cream but it didn't seem to work for long, so just lathering with lotion until tomorrow when I have my appointment.  So, I will go from there.  I appreciate you taking the time to respond and hope you all have a good evening. Hi Erika, I had the same problem so was interested in finding out the remedy.  I recently had thyroid surgery so I have a new scar across my neck.  I asked the pharmastist and she recommended Mederma.  It's expensive but I bought it anyway and the itching has stopped.  Most the itching with me is being caused by the turtlenecks I'm wearing, but this cream seems to be doing the trick. Best wishes to you!

Erika~ I know vinger (I know sounds weird) for dry winter skin...I put about a cup in the bath or if I want to take a shower I'll just put some on my body and let it run down with the water...I do it for sunburns too because it takes the heat out and cools the skins... Old advice from my Grandmoter... Selena
