Okay... so I know that itching is a good sign because it means they are healing, at least thats what I have been told.   Can anyone make any suggestions on how to RELIEVE SOME OF THIS ITCHINESS???   Thank you, Erika

Are you able to take Benadryl at all?   Might help some...otherwise I have no good ideas.    Glad they're healing up though.

Call your surgeons office to verify if this is okay first, but if they are closed, Aveeno makes a Cooling lotion that is awesome at relieving itchy skin!

I agree, call surgeon's office for what you are able to soothe it with. I am over 1 year out and my long long scar still itches from time to time-I put lotion on it and only try to itch on either side of it, not on the actual scar. I don't have a lot of feeling on the scar and it is still raised, so I don't like the sensation of touching it at all.

Hello Michelle and Diamond Girl, Benadryl knocks me right out so that isn't option but thanks anyway Michelle, and in regards to Aveeno I have a anti-itch cream I thought about trying but wasn't sure if it would be okay so I have sent my husband on a mission to find plain old aloe vera so had mentioned to me about helping with the itching along with healing the scars nicely.   I have my two week post op tomorrow and if the aloe vera doesn't work I will discuss the aveeno lotion or cream.   Thanks for your suggestions, Erika

Do you have any tape residue on the incision sites.  I'm allergic to adhesive tape and not only did I have to take the bandages off WAY early, but had to completely rid my skin of the residue the tape left behind.  Then it all went away...... XXOO

For my son, the doctor suggested a cortizone cream to take away the "itchies".  LOL.  Maybe that would help?????

Are you still taking pain meds?  Some Tylenol should help take the edge off.
