Princess Nemi, Laurie, Me

An update on my gang: Princess Nemi has her first ear infection and viral bronchitis. Dr put her on Amoxicillin today for 10 days. She is walking the length of the house, learning to feed herself with a spoon, finger foods, she wants no help at all. She says "OH GEEZ" and it is hilarious. She has learned the sign language for MORE and loves getting more cheerios, they are dessert and snack. She will be 15 months on the 19th, has it really been that long????? Laurie had her new port (for antibiotics) put in on Dec 27, all went great and she is healing up nicely.  She is doing great in school at Dunwoody!!! I am so proud of her. I have finally hit 175... never ever, ever in my life thought I would hit the weight that my  parents thought was so fat in high school. Right now, 175 is great.  I can wear 35 x 32 jeans, god it has been eons since that size fit. Clothes shopping is wierd, I still look for things that are too big, wanting to still dress tentlike. Must be body issues there. Mindless eating is terrible, trying to figure out what I am missing that makes me want to eat, esp 8 pm til sleep. Need to forget that chocolate exists, I can eat way too much of it with no ill effects. I still have a rough time getting all my protien in, seriously considering ordering some of the little protien bullets. Maybe I can make myself drink them, hold my nose if nuthin else. I can hardly believe that I have been working for Laura at Synico since April. I never thought I would get back out of the house and feel so fantastic about the work that I do. My job has been continued until March 31 with the possibility of more time after that.
ONE session at a time is all I can do, multitasking is a fine art that I am still trying to master.

Sounds like life is good for you and yours. That is wonderful! Nemi is growing up so fast...hard to believe that much time has gone by already. She sure is cute!!! Sorry she is ill right now. Hope she feels better real soon. My granddaughter knows sign language too. I can't believe how well she can communicate. She is 13 months old. Two weeks ago she decided, on her own, that she wanted to use the potty. She does really well, both jobs. She hardly needs diapers at all. Congrats on the wonderful weight loss.....you are doing great!! This surgery is such a blessing to all of us. I have a problem with shopping for the smaller sizes too. I am always looking at things that are too big. I still see myself as  really fat. I am working on changing that. Hugs, connie d

Connie, It would be much cheaper if we did not have to buy diapers... darn things are expensive.  Now I need to go to Unique Thrift up in New Hope and get the training pants that I saw there.  Thise nice ones with 2 or 3 layers of thick cotton.  She loves her antibiotic, fruit flavor. Takes it right down without a problem.  We have friends that have taught their boys sign and it really helped with communication, that is why Laurie and I are working on it with her.  So far More is her one definite, all done is the next one we are working on, oh and all done.  Maybe milk, up and down. Linda A, chime in here if you have any good ideas for me. Have a great day, Karen and a sleeping Nemi

I asked about you at PNC group last week - sure missed seeing you, Laurie and that cutie Nemi! Congratulations on your weight loss - that is fabulous  I won't even recognize you!  I understand the head hunger.  At least our pouch doesn't allow us to eat as much bad stuff as we used to.   Nemi is precious - when do we get to see new photos????? Tell Laurie to keep up the good work at Dunwoody -  I admire her perserverance.
