What a pray line and 1 week can do.. Thank You All (long)
Hi Everyone,
This is a Minnesota gentle snowy morning. It was one week ago that I asked for and received an incrediable pray.. positive thought line.
This is my information for pre-op's and thank you to post-ops.
I started going to support group 4 months before surgery and even though it was likely to be open. I received confident support and information that my surgery would all go well.
On the 4 th I went into surgery with a smile and thumbs up from my surgeon and the loving faces of family and friends .. my Angel, too! Actually many Angels.
I woke up in my room to those same loving faces and my surgery was all done Lap. Everything removed, fixed and a new life of health started.
A week ago I asked, one of my Angels to start a pray line, not just for me but for the medical staff that was there to support my recovery.
My Hgb was dropping over the night and day and my surgeon said .... maybe if it went to 8 I would get some blood. I felt his confidence that this would NOT HAPPEN.
Saturday evening things got a little fast and concerning. My BP dropped to 71/39, my 02 level to 86. The Resident came and listen to my lungs and talked about a blood clot and heparin line and moving to the cardiac unit.
This is were you all come in.. with prayers for the medical staff to support me in the best possible way and I would give all my effort and strength to my health, too.
So, after, stat blood, ABG's, EKG, Chest X-ray. I stayed in my own room. Was given lassix to talk the fluid off my lung and around my heart. Then let my body do its thing.
I went home late Sunday afternoon. I am sorry to disappoint my surgeon that I did not need to see him Monday morning.
Today , I am on yummy yogurt, cream soup and cream of wheat.
Smiling and laughing with phone calls from Angels.

You're the best! I'm ever so grateful to call you my friend - you lift my spirits everytime I hear your voice - either in person or in my head recalling wisdom that you've shared! Thank YOU for allowing all of us be apart of a major new step in your life! I wish health and happiness every day!

My love for you is completely selfish. Do you have ANY CLUE how good you make ME FEEL every time we talk? Your reaction to my calls makes me feel like I'm some kind of ROCK STAR! Or better yet, a dear friend that makes YOU happy! And that makes ME happy, so yeah, it's all selfish. You, my sweet friend, are a major boost to MY EGO!!!!
And you can write this down for a later date. I will get you up shakin' your BOOTAY for the support group some time!! Linda did it. You will too. Maybe we should just devote one night to booty shakin' and dancing??!! HA!
