Lab tests

Good Evening everyone,  First off I would like to thank everyone for their help with various matters throughout my last 6 months.  I am very much an on looker but the few posts that I have put out here, I am always getting wonderful advise and positive feedback from everyone.  Thank you all for that.   My question is I am 6 mo post op(I can't believe it already)...But I haven't had any labs drawn since before surgery.  I am curious if anyone has had any lab work drawn post-op and what type of things you could possibly be checked for?   Thanks again for all the responses and support through the last few months...you guys are the best. I did labs at six months. So, you probably should be getting orders for that soon. They mainly check to make sure there are no defiecencies (iron, calcium, B12, etc). I would talk with your surgeon's office.  Congrats on the weight loss so far. You are doing great! Lori

Yes, I just had mine drawn last week. They check cholesterol, protein levels, vitamin levels, and lots of things that I don't really remember. All I know is my lab took 17 tubes of various sizes (all pretty small) of blood from my arm for the tests. I go next week for my 6 month post checkup.
