Belch or Farting?

Since surgery, I hardly pass gas, which is a switch from what it used to be. Before my surgery, I was able to burp as needed, etc. However, for 6 months after my surgery, I didn't burp at all. NOW>>>>>>>>? I have this HUGE gutteral belches that are long and noisy!  I can belch like the belchiest man ever! I usually do better on a less than full stomach. It's kind of funny since I think that burping and farting are funny. I am pretty proud that I can belch so loud too.  LOL Anyone else belching??

I used to have gas before surgery, but post-op nothing for months. And now....my goodness I can hardly keep it in. They're pretty quiet and not at all smelly, but they come on so fast sometimes it's almost embarassing....at work, shopping, wherever....boom there it is. YIKES!

I wish I could belch!  Would make life easier!  I do tend to have absolutely horrible smelling gas....but found out since I've given up diet soda (i know) I rarely toot anymore!!!  My family is ecstatic about that one!

I find that whenever I eat, once I get to my limit, I start burping.  I know that if I need to burp or I do burp, NO MORE FOOD.

I burped right away after surgery - it was wierd, but didn't have much problem with farting until about a month ago.  Now, they are just NASTY!  My BF asked one time that I did that around him, what had crawled up my butt and died there.  I don't know what to do about that - I haven't been drinking any carbonated things, but something is causing the really bad, stinky farts and I don't know what it could be! Sorry - that was probably TMI, As far as stomach noises go, I have lots of them.  At Christmas dinner I was opening my mouth to put a bite of food in and my stomach gurgled.  Well, the sound travelled up my esophagus and out my mouth.  My BIL looked at me, and I said...yep, that was my stomach...and we both started to laugh.  I have to agree with you...I think belching and farting are funny....good thing to, since we are both so good at at least 1 of the 2 things!

Man I can burp and fart with the best of them!  Since about a week after surgery thats all I do!!!  Its really embarrassing when I am out in public!  LOL!!  My daughter laughs at me and its gotten to the point that if she smells something she automatically thinks it me!  And she will say it aloud and really embarass me!

Interesting question! Nice to see you again Lisa! I can't seem to burp, if I do try, I kind of puke too (I know, TMI). But, I can fart with the best of them!

I burp quite a bit to when I start getting full or If I eat to fast.  Most of the time I burp on purpose to relieve pressure.  Yeah, Oh YEah farting,  uh huh.  All the time.  But, they don't smell.  They do come uncontrollabally though.  Seems like I have more gas if I mix carbs and protein together.  EX: crackers/cheese. OMG,  I LOVE YOU ALL!  I know it's not at all lady-like of me, but I LOVE BURP & FART TALK!!!  I've always been extremely talented in the belching department, I can do it at will, and can even say DORITOS while burping!   Farting?  That's a talent I've discovered post-WLS (thank you, milk!).  Seriously?  It can be horribly embarassing, or it can be drop-dead funny!  Depends on - well, a number of things.  Sometimes they're just all sound and no bite, sometimes they could drop a bull elephant to his knees!  (mental note to self... next time we eat at Olive Garden and I have the Tuscan Garlic Chicken?  Take the next day off...  DANG!!!)  My hubby used to be the King of Flatulence, but I'm pretty sure I've dethroned him in the past 8 months.  I have 17 years of marriage to catch up on, so somebody - PASS THE MILK!!!
