Eating more and wt. loss
I did start slowing down when I could eat more. I consistently lost with no plateaus until 11 months then looking back I plateaued and have just recently started loosing. I still was loosing inches but not weight everything seems to reposition itself quite frequently. I am currently almost at 14 months and have lost 142 pounds.

It all depends. Sometimes I felt as if I was piggin out and bam! I'd hit a losing streak! Focus on getting your protein and water in is what I did (I would eat fruit and veggies as snacks). But there was a HUGE stall for me right at 190's (That is where I weighed the longest in my life), The place where I noticed the slow down is when I only had 40 pounds to go. Then, my body flew by the 40 and went 20 below where I had put my goal (it's all good). So, we are all individual, you will notice a few slow downs and you are DOING ONE HECK OF A JOB!!!!!

I'm not perfect but I am going to die trying!!!
I'd have to say yes, it probably does. My weight loss slowed down at about 6-7 months, but THAT'S OKAY!!! I don't think it would be healthy to keep losing 20 lbs a month. I mean, when you consider the amount of calories you're taking in, your body really does need more than 500 (or so) to sustain.
At 8.5 months out, I'm about 121 lbs down. The majority, about 105 lbs. of that, came off in the first 6 months! So yes, it has slowed down a lot. But the important thing is that the numbers are still heading in the right direction. (Believe me, Laura, I need to hear this as much as anyone. Need to remind myself these very things I'm saying right here, right now...) And as we lose weight, we're DOING more physically, which means we're building muscle, which weighs more than fat - so even tho the numbers aren't dropping as fast, the body continues to shrink and tighten up.
Heck - when I got on the scale Monday night, I had lost only 5 pounds since 12/11. Was I bummed to lose only 5 pounds in 4 weeks? YES. Until I realized that there was a lil' sump'n sump'n called 'THE HOLIDAYS' in that month. Then? I LOST 5 POUNDS OVER THE HOLIDAYS!!! WHOOP WHOOP!!! Given the normal gain most people experience during that time frame, I figure I'm 10 lbs ahead! And I'm WAY happy with 10 lbs/month at this point!
(how's THAT for one helluva long answer to a short & sweet question?!)
