SUPPORT GROUP

WHERE DO YOU FIND A SUPPORT GROUP? DO I GO TO THE HOSPITAL AND MEET THERE? THANKS

What area do you want to find a group in?  There is one in Burnsville and St. Louis Park for Park Nicollet, but you don't have to be one of their patients to attend.

Park Nicollet has a support group in St. Louis Park and Burnsville.  Here's a link to their info on their website... http://www.parknicollet.com/bariatrics/resources.cfm You do NOT have to be a Park Nicollet patient to attend - everyone is welcome!  Hope to see you there!   BTW - Burnsville's is tonight and SLP is tomorrow night. Not sure about other groups, but there are plenty of coffee groups around too - feel free to join those as well!  They usually get posted every week - I know there's some in Lakeville/Burnsville, Eagan, North Branch, Southwest Metro and I'm not sure where else - just keep an eye out on this board. Abbott has groups too, I don't know when, but I think they have a list on their website.

Hi Debra- St. Paul Surgeons has their 'Our Changing Image' Support Group meetings twice a month. January is "Stress Management" 1/2/08 7:00pm and 1/21/08 10:30am February is "Exercise Tips" 2/6/08 7:00pm and 2/18/08 10:30am March is "Fabulous Fiber" 3/5/08 7:00pm and 3/17/08 10:30am All are located in the St. Luke's Room at the John Nasseff Medical Center. You should be getting mailings from them, if you aren't yet, call Ginger and request she starts sending them to you.
