Introduction
Hello everyone!
I have enjoyed getting to know many of you while reading these boards and through my sister, Lisajoy. I am so happy for her right now and grateful for all she's learned through all of you. Lisa is the sweetest of the three girls born in our family.
I am also hoping to have a lap band placed in Mexico soon. I realized while watching "Big Medicine" on January first of this year that lapbands are sometimes placed on those with a "lower BMI" even without medical problems. Kind of a proactive thing.
Dr. Curry from this board performs lap bands on lower BMI patients. His own wife had one placed and her BMI was the same as mine is now (30-31).
So happy to meet you all!
Debbie
Welcome Debbie! Good luck with your lap band procedure. It's good to see they have lower BMI's for that procedure since it's nice to have something out there that prevents further weight gain (and helps with weight loss) before it gets to far. I don't know if I phrased that right? But, I think you know what I mean.
Keep us updated......... and post a pic!

I feel pretty lucky to have a family member caring so much and getting this involved. I didn't know however she'd decide to join the ranks and join us in the wls journey. It'll be a bonding experience I'm sure to get our surgeries around the same time. She's a preety nice big sis....well I'm the bigger, she's the older...tee hee! :O)
You should call her Debbie Jo. That's her name! :O)
Lisa Joy
Hi Debs!!!
Lisa has had nothing but good things to say about you -- And thanks to you for being so supportive to her!!! She just lights up whenever she talks about you and the support you give her. It makes a big difference to have family support == which I'm sure you can totally relate to!!!
Good luck on your journey and welcome to the board!! Come to coffee too -- we'd love to meet and talk with you. You don't have to be a RNY patient to enjoy coffee (or whatever other beverage you drink) with GF's!!!

Oh so fun to "see" you all. I need to attend one of the coffee's. I live in Sartell so it's a ways but I will make the ride sometime.
I have 2 pics posted but both seem to be too big to get out of my blog page and into my signature. I cannot even find where to list the city I live in. I'll eventually figure it out. My brain is probably fried from thinking about wls. Initially, Lisa's, and now MINE! Hee Haw (I got that phrase from Lisa)!
You guys are very inspiring and fun to boot! Nice to know you.
