My last psyc appt was done today....YEA!!!!

Everything looks good and now I just need to finish my 4 remaining phone call classes that Health Partners is requiring me to take and I am on my way to a surgery date!!!  Yea!!!!  Will the surgeon call me to set up an appointment when they receive everything or should I call and set up the appointment?? ~Jodi~

congrats on the next milestone!  My surgeons office called me when they had what they needed to schedule the appointment. But it never hurts to ask them to double check what your offices policy is. Good luck!

Congrats you should have your date in no time.  My docs office called and scheduled my surgery date.  Each doctors office is different.  It wouldn't hurt to call and ask.  I know with mine they needed everything done and sitten on there desk.  Keep us posted!!!!  Hugs Marsha

Has anyone of you been required to take the 5 call class required by Health Partners? I am just wondering if all of the classes need to be done before I can even schedule my surgery?  I placed a phone call into my nurse so hopefully I will hear something soon, but thought maybe someone here had to take the classes too and would know the answer. thanks for all your support and advice...greatly appreciate all the words of encouragement!! ~Jodi~

Sorry no advice on HP - my insurance didn't cover it. Congrats on getting almost there!  How exciting that it's all coming so close!  Can't wait to hear that you've got a date! Take care, Tracy

YIPPEE!!!!   Maybe I can hurry and we will be surgery sisters!  Happy for you! 

I have HP and I am working on finishing the phone calls - I was able to schedule my surgeon consult (Mpls Bariatric) before I finished them - as long as they know you are working on them.  I also pushed to get my phone calls scheduled once a week instead of every two weeks - so I can get them done sooner.   I would call the doc office and tell them where you are at on the schedule - they still need to get the reports from the shrink and others before they can submit to HP - so they probably won't schedule surgery yet.  hope that helps. Lucky you to get your calls scheduled every week, I tried doing that last night and they wouldnt do that for me, said they only could do them every two weeks :( I will call the dr's office today and see if I can at least meet the surgeron and get that done and out of the way so as soon as they get the approval from HP, I can get the surgery scheduled.
