I get to go and take the psch. test and meet with the bariatric nurse this Thurs. and then meet with the psch. on Friday!   I am soooooo happy to have the ball rolling.  Just wanted to share with all of you wonderful people out there.  Thinking a lot about Colleen as she has her big day tomorrow.  I am so happy for all of us! Did any of you experience depression cycles after surgery?  I've been hearing about that from folks who know others...etc. Thanks for listening to me! Huggies Lisa Joy

Congrats on getting everything going.  You will be done in no time.  As far as the depression I myself have good days and bad.  It is alot to adjust too.  I had mine right before chistmas which was hard for me to deal with.  I am on pureed foods and its not bad at all.  I am so happy I had this surgery, and it will only get better from here.  Keep us posted take care!!!!!!!! WoooooHoooooooo!  ONWARDS!!  CONGRATS!! As far as depression after surgery, that is as individual as we all are!  For some it's just the hormones going wild and for some it's depression and for some it's both.  Be aware and have a therapist lined up and established just in case!  I have had a therapist since my break down last May (I left the boards for a bit).  I am soooo thankful for her(having WLS herself)!!!  I keep going just to keep me accountable and as a safety net.  I was pron to depression pre op anyway and was on meds to help.  Then post op I had to switch a few times and now I am only on 1 compared to 3~!  Best to YA!

YaY Lisa!!  Hang on for the wild ride!!!  Many folks, myself included, experience hormonal imbalances from the effects of surgery.   Most are able to ponder on through it all but it is definately something to think about and pray for strength to endure.. Hugs to you!!

The ball is rollin'!!!  I hope it all goes smoothly and you have a date before you know it! I also wish I could have spent more time talking with you on Saturday - you seem so familiar to me now that I've met you... did you get that feeling at all with me?  I mean, besides our posts here?  Maybe it's some famous person you remind me of, I'm just not sure.  But YAY YOU!!!  (And I still have the fabulous picture I took on my camera... mwuahahahaaa!!!!  )

Congrats to you!  Things will start moving quickly for you now!!   The depression stuff varies by person.  Sometimes people who have issues with it before surgery have more issues with it after.  Before we had food to "ease" the depression.  Once that is taken away you really have to deal with the depression because you can't cover it with eating.  It is so important to make sure you are getting help before surgery.  But like I said, it all depends on the person.

Surgeon's goal met, now on to the personal goal...
