OT: Sore gums?

I just wanted to know if anyone has experienced sore gums or bleeding gums since surgery? I started noticing a couple of months ago my gums bleeding when I brushed them, then this past week my roof of my mouth and such are so sore...... I am wondering if it might be a  vitamin deficiency. I go to the surgeon for my 6 month checkup in a couple of weeks and I will be asking him about it then, but I was just wondering if anyone knew what I was talking about?  I have been kinda under the weather this past week also, with a sore throat and cold, so that may be part of it too..... Any suggestions, I really appreciate it... CarolN

I suppose it's possible you could have a Vit K defiecency; but your doc may want to check your Platelets to see if you are low. Are you having bleeding any where else? Bruising? If yes, it's possible your platelets are low.  Good luck with finding the cause.  Hugs, Lori
