I'm home from the hospital... sorry very long

I'm finally was able to come home from the hospital today, surgery went well and was to also get my tubes redone ( sorry if TMI) but my gall bladder stayed.  The day of my surgery I was at the hospital by 6:40 a.m. Dr. Medlin came to see me, and I told I was concerned about the anethesia (sp?) because in past surgery I have severe reactions to them he said to mention it the anethesialogist  got into preop around 11:00 a.m. my surgery was scheduled for 10:40 and I was very calm about it.  But, I felt bad for my husband he hadn't anything to eat and he didn't want to leave my side I told I would be fine for a few minutes, he said he would just wait until I was in surgery then go. When the anthesialogist came he asked if I had any conerns??? I told about the sever nausea in the past and if they could give something for it just before I wake or during whatever would be necessary then the nurse again asked if I had any conerns, I AGAIN expressed concern about the nausea he said I would be taken care of....so from what my husband said the surgery didn't start until 12:40 p.m.  I remember the first day and a half were hellish and I mean to the very extreme!!! Guess what I had severe nausea when they wanted me stand up to try and walk I started to dry heave it was horrible so they had lay back down and gave me something for the nausea again they tried and I stood even though I still felt nauseated but not as much I attempted to walk made it three feet and again the dry heaving so they got me back into bed an gave me more stuff for it.  When I was experiencing pain the asked if I could take Loritab and I said I thought I could but then w/in a matter of two minutes I severe itching and a rash guess what I am allergic to it found out later that is part of the codone family which I'm allergic too, but I never told them that because when I asked a pharmacist the told me it was the same as codeine so I told them I was allergic to that and ammoxicillian.  So, the nurse feld horrible and I told please do not feel bad it was fault because I didn't get the correct  information.  So, I was in the ICU for the first day and half because it also complicated my breathing. But once we got the all straightened out I was able to transferred to a regular room where I'm made great progress... was able to get and walk, walk, walk, sip, sip sip and so on I stayed until around 11:00 a.m. drive was painful one and I was exhausted by the time I got home we had stopped at the pharmacy.  Then I walked little bit and got tired and fell asleep for abit and then I decided it was time to update my OH friends.  Still, feeling alot of pressure but I believe it's just the gas from surgery.

OH man I'm so sorry it was so rough for you.    I'm glad to hear you are home now though.   I wasn't a very good angel....the last few days have been nuts around here.    I was going to try to give you a call tonight but saw this first.   I will let you call if you need anything and let you rest.   If there is anything I can help out with please do call me!!!   If you just need to vent or talk etc...   I should be done with my 2nd job by the middle of the week too so I'll be free a little more in the evenings.    I hope you'll be feeling better soon and will be able to enjoy the benefits of being a loser!!!     Once you are feeling up to it again we will have to do coffee or something.    We could even come your way if it's easier for you.    Take care and get lots of rest!!!
