What to do with my big clothes?

I just finished going through every article of clothing in my house and have several plastic storage boxes filled with clothes that are in good shape but not longer fit me. (Woo-hoo! I love being on the losing side of life!) Any advice on what to do with them or to whom I should donate? It would be cool to share with someone on OH.

Every 3-6 months we have been having a clothing swap-I think BarbK was thinking of doing one soon....Barb?  when will that be? If you have some in really good shape you might try consignment-Plums Plus is one that Doodlebug used and they were pretty good-they are in St Paul, I believe.  There are other plus size consignment stores around, too. congrats on shrinking out of your clothes!!

Hey Debra!  You are doing SOOOOOOOOOO GREAT already!  Congrats on your success so far! People do different things with their too big clothes.  Some bring them to their support groups, some post the sizes on here and see if anyone wants them, garage sales and there is always the MN board Swapkins.  I'm pretty sure we're having one in the spring.  Darla hosted the fall swapkins. Keep up the excellent work girl!

Lynn K. already told you about Plum's that's where I took everything I didn't give away.  Maryann did a great job selling my stuff.

Congrats on the down-SIZING (LOL).  I will be hosting a Swapkins sometime in May if you want to save the clothes until then.  Then someone usually takes them to a woman's shelter for the gals there.
