TGIF my wonderful friends!!  I had a slight mental lapse and forgot today was Friday...LOL...  Yeah... I know..   Been trying to fight off some sort of virus for the last couple of days.  Pumping drugs and water..  Hoping that I get over the hump of that real soon. Whats on store for your weekend?  I get to work tonight and tomorrow then hope to relax and get well.  Church on Sunday and maybe watch some football.  Not sure what game...  I just like watching football. Hope you all have a wonderfully blessed day and a fabulous weekend!

Why is it that the shortest weeks of work seem the longest??!!!  I'm still getting over my car mishap cost so no big plans. Saturday -- coffee with the gals and Barb J is visiting.  Then doing some work from home.  Sunday we have my MIL's brothers and sisters getting together for their Christmas in Eden Prairie and then helping tile my daughter's shower in the later afternoon/evening. My car -- murphy's law sucks!!!  I felt so much like the commercial on t.v. where the woman was pushing the send button for the last car payment and the hubby asked "what could happen".  She makes the final payment and the rear mirror falls off.  I literally put the last payment for my car in the mail on Wednesday morning.  Yeah--it is paid off!!!!  Leaving work at 7 p.m. that night I rolled down my driver's door window to swipe my parking card -- wham -- the window disappeared into the door and no matter how many times I swore at it and push the up button, it was not coming back up.  So I had to drive from downtown Minneapolis to West St. Paul Luther Nissan with my drivers' door window missing in 6 degree weather.  **** was sooooo cold!!! Window patch that will hold with epoxy because the parts would take 1 week to arrive and cost a fortune to replace parts they can fix with epoxy (but have to tear the entire door apart) -- $165 -- I love glass!!!! While I was there -- looked at rear brakes -- worn to 10% but rotors okay -- do now or wear rotors and cost more one month from now  -- $249  --  I never used brakes before, why start now!!! Power steering fluid filthy (I don't think I've ever change or it was at 30,000 thingy -- that is what that noise was going around tight corners)   -- $129  -- no more noise when pulling into garage!!! 2,000 miles away from the 60,000 stuff (and I've noticed that when I'm waiting at lights and in traffic, the heater is blowing cold air -- air leak in cooling/heating line; new radiator fluid/flush fixed), includes transmission fluid change, oil change, checking entire car, filling fluids, etc.  -- $429 (but man I have heat back in the car!!! Total for an electric window snap -- $1,014 -- right after Christmas!!!!  BUT THE CAR IS PAID FOR!!!  Now I get to spend the next 3 car payments paying off the credit card I had to put the repairs on!!!  So much for waiting until spring to have the car makeover!!! XXOO

Happy Friday to you, too, Dana! I always look forward to your post because it means the end of a week is near and I get two days off! LOL DH works all weekend so it's just me & the boys. Hoping to take them out skating and do some fun activities. They've had too much indoor time lately and frankly so have I. Keep fighting that virus - I had it, got a sinus infection, was on a 10-day Rx and felt better during Christmas, then it came back in the form of sore throat and hoarse voice. We all started a strict daily vitamin regime at my house on 1/1 so hopefully everyone stays healthy this year! Enough is enough. Best wishes!

Have a GREAT weekend everyone!  I plan on bringing the kids Christmas shopping as they didn't get much and gave them some money but they haven't made it over there, so now that I can I'll go along.  And yep, I'll be watching football on Sunday too.  Gotta LOVE it!

I am starting my Friday off waiting for my car to be fixed...total is much better than Barb's it is only $400 for my fixes, but I am putting off one that they said wasn't an immediate wich is another $400.   Tonight I am planning to go to an all night prayer vigil at a convent in St. Paul then I am hoping to catch a few hours of sleep and make it to Burnsille coffee.  After that I'll probably come home and catch a nap then workout and clean the house.  Sunday is church and then I might go over and visit a friend of mine.  Oh, I also need to find time to work on my assignment from one of my classes so that I have it done and ready to turn in before the end of next week since I am going down to Iowa to visit my sister and nephews in their new house and take my nephews to see the new Veggie Tales movie "The Pirates Who don't do Anything".  I hope to see some of you tomorrow if I can get up and out of bed after a few hours of sleep.

Right back at ya!  The usual is on tap for this weekend - schlepping kids around. I am on Day 3 of the 5 Day Pouch Test and all is going well.  I have actually exercised the last three days, lost 2# between Day 1 & Day 2 (won't be able to weigh again until Monday, but weight loss is just a bonus of this plan), and I feel more energetic. Hope you can shake the bug. Take care. J

Happy Friday to you too, Dana!!!   Today I'm leaving work at 12:30 to go visit a friend who had back surgery right before Christmas.  It's also my DH's birthday today, so he's deciding where he wants to go to dinner tonight.  Probably Olive Garden (no longer my favorite place, but it's HIS birthday...).  Tomorrow, I'm gonna roll a dice or throw a dart or something to decide where to go for coffee!  Sunday?  Church, and then I must summon the resolve to clean my floors.  The salt getting tracked in from the driveway is just NASTY on my floors!!!  The Swiffer WetJet is a pathetic substitute for my Hoover FloorMate.  Gotta fire that bad boy up.   Be healthy, everyone!!!
