My rant....

It might be hard for some of you to understand but here I go on a rant!!: So, my dear friend was visiting me today and she was looking at my pictures. Ya know, the one in my avatar and the others that went with it. She continued to tell me that I look anorexic and that I need togain weight. I preceeded to tell her that if she would have never seen me all big and obese that she wouldn't know any different and that she would never say that I look "too thin". I think I look good (other then the excess skin, and I could tone up a few things and am working on that). It is SOOOOOOOOO hard to go from "you could lose some weight" to "man you are too thin and there is nothing left of you". I love my friend, but This past month or two have been filled with nothing but those types of comments (except from my OH'ers...THANK YOU) from people who KNEW ME as OBESE. It rubs me the wrong way from time to time and it's that time!! I just want to cry!!! I go from not feeling good about myself from being so big to battling how I feel about myself from looking in the mirror and all the head games that come with that. AND people who never have seen me big tell me how great I look and I feel good and ONE comment from someone who knew me before and I feel soooooo shattered!!! OOOOOOO, the rollercoaster!! Just wanted to rant and to share so that you also can know what to expect from your family and friends! I guess I am having a bad day today and knew that some of you would understand!!! LOVE TO YOU ALL!!

Sandie I think you look great. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise. Your friend does not know what you went through to look like this. I think you have done a wonderful job, I just hope I do half as good when me and Troy have our surgery. keep it up Richard

That's another thing!! My family and friends DO KNOW the rough side of this because they have heard me cry thru the tough times, struggle with the low BP that I suffer from now, and the mental games and all. I share opening and freely my struggles and success. I think they are just use to me being fat. Thank you for your kind words and support! You will have great success if you follow the rules and work the tool!!

Sandy, I can only imagine this conversation and how it's made you feel. And I have to agree with Lori that perhaps she was a little jelous, our friends and loved ones get so used to us being the fat ones, that they just have a hard time dealing with us in any other way. Kind of like how in the beginning WE can't see the changes in our bodies as well as others can. I guess my point is that even though you are healthy, and you are feeling great, they have a hard time looking past the old fat you so the new healthy you looks too thin, I hope this makes some sense. It makes perfect sence in my head lol. Chin up doll, I know insensitive comments hurt... just like the ones when you were heavy. But you are beautiful, both inside and out, the rest of the world will adjust to seeing you, and the comments will stop, in the meantime, smile at the accomplishment you have achieved and be thrilled with yourself! Thank you Hon!! I can't wait until the comments STOP!!! I mean, I have maintained my weight since my last hospital stay in Oct even tho I have gone down in pants size!!!
