I drink 36oz of coffee a day and not just the plan stuff I have to have my Caribou - Turtle, skim, extra hot, no toppings (opps I thought I was there for a moment).  Anyways you can have coffee but you need to make sure you get in the water.

Hello Bonnie...I was never a big coffee drinker. I have tried it a couple times since surgery and got a upset stomach both times. I didn't get sick but felt yuck. I would talk to your doctor but I can't see what harm it will do in moderation. Good luck!! Hugs, connie d

Hi Bonnie Check with your doctor of course, but my opinion of caffeine is this.......you have to be careful about getting too much caffeine. I have osteopenia, which is the stage before osteoperosis and my doctor told me that caffeine is a BIG culprit for losing bone density. The caffeine will rob the calcium from your bones, she told me. I have totally cut it out of my diet. I now have to take 2500 mg of calcium a day and if my next bone density is still bad, I will have to go on Boniva or Fosamax and have to really be careful to not fall and break a bone. Just my 2 cents. Happy New Year!! Peggy
