Miss my coffee
Do any of you drink regular coffee? I really miss my coffe and decaf doen't do it for me. I've tried doctoring it up many ways and no go. I hate it. I see my surgeon on Thursday and maybe I can make a deal. I will drink any extra 12 oz. of water for every cup I drink. Of all the things to miss this is the biggie. I guess if it's gone it's gone and I will continue drinking my lemonade which I really enjoy but there's nothing like a good cup of java!!!!

Is it caffeine you are trying to give up? Coffee, if you don't add cream or sugar is a great non-calorie drink. I would never even think of giving it up. In fact it was the first thing I had after surgery. I know there is debate, coffee good, coffee bad...but the calories are what you have to watch out for, not caffeine....imho.

I am 7 months post op and drink a cup of coffee (sometimes 2) a day. I use Splenda and Sugar Free creamer. I was told I could still drink it in moderation but my daily water intake was first priority. I gave up my beloved Diet Wild Cherry Pepsi pre-op and I can't imagine having to give my coffee up so am glad I didn't have to. :) Of course check with your doctor and see what he/she says.

I sure hope to be around more often but gosh I've said that a couple times now and then I flake out. I love seeing the updates on how everyone is doing though and there are so many new faces! Good luck to all!
