I am getting a little bored with the few things I have for my breakfast and wondering if anyone would share what they have in the morning to get their day off to a good start.  I want to find more variety in the food choices that I have.... Anyone want to share?

MY FAVORITE -- Yogurt, banana and skim milk smoothie (mixed with whey protein).  I also have a couple of tbsp's of yogurt and weight control oatmeal (not mixed together--YUK) or a tbsp of Kashi cereal with skim milk with a few slices of fruit on the side. I like the smoothie the most because I can vary to any flavor I want with different yogurt's and fruit.  And I can make enough for the hubby to have some too!!! Hope these help!!! XXOO

M-F I have pretty much the same thing every day - a 4 oz cup of Dannon yogurt with sunflower seeds stirred in.  I'm into "easy" when it comes to breakfast, and I can have this at my desk at work - so I just keep my "stash" there!  If I had to eat at home, I'd never get to work on time.  I am NOT a morning person!

On weekends, I'll scramble an egg, or maybe have 1/2 cup of 1% cottage cheese.  I used to be a toast girl, but I haven't gone there yet.  I'm sure it wouldn't bother me like plain bread does, but I'd just as soon focus on the protein.

Hello Amy...it was so nice seeing you again at Sue's get together. My breakfast is usually yogurt and cottage cheese or string cheese. I am not big on breakfast so I make sure what I do have is protein.  Sometimes I have scrambled eggs with cheese. I haven't gone the bread route yet either. Hugs  connie d

I do a lot of yogurt and sun flower seeds. I also do eggs and cheese. Another option for the quick meal is Jimmy Deans omelettes. They are yummy!!! And packed with protein.  When I am really lazy I pack cheese and cashews and eat on the road. Also, there is Special K cereal. It has a lot of protein.  Good luck! Lori

Hi Am! I am a yogurt and 1/2 a banana eater in the morning.  Sometimes maybe some weight control oatmeal.  It's all about what's easy for me.  I have more trouble with lunch and dinner.  I try to have a little spinach salad with ham, turkey and cheese.  There is a salad bar where I work so I can make my own...it is still amazing how my eyes always want more than I can really eat.  I make a $2.00 salad and it fills me up and I still have left-overs.  (Now that it's the 1st of year it will be a free-for-all at the salad bar...everyone goes on a diet.)  I like soup but at my last appt I was told to try not to eat soup as a staple as it goes through the system too fast and doesn't fill you up.  For dinner I try to have some sensible protein...chicken, fish, lunch meat, etc.  Not really a red meat girl.  Not for any reason other than I just don't like it. You are doing fabulous!  Happy New Year to you!!! Amy
