A beautiful hue of dark purple

2007 was a hectic year.  It was the beginning of mine and Berrys' new life.  It all started in February when Berry's brother and wife went on a cruise.  When they got home they emailed us some pics!  As we opened them we wondered if there was a mistake.  Yes, it was Berry's brother but who was the cute, sexie blonde that he was with!  Come to find out it was indeed our sister-in-law - one year post op!  OMG.  That was the start of our journey.  So Cathy if you are out there, thank you for those pics and our new lease on life.

I want to thank everyone out there who has sent posts for Berry and myself.  It is so comforting to know that you're all out there!  It truely means a lot.

Berry is losing weight and feeling wonderful.  I am only 3 days post-op so I am a little slower.  But feeling pretty wonderful too.  I am already noticing wonderful things.  Just being able to reach your feet is awe inspiring!  I don't think that there will ever be a doubt in my mind that once you go though this you absolutely can't wake up every morning and thank the Lord!  For life is indeed good.  Some of us just take a little longer getting there!

I should send pics of my stomach!  That would be just too scarey though!  Trust me.  I bruise so easily so on one of my incisions I have a 3" wide and 12" long black and blue mark.  Or maybe I shall call it a beautiful hue of dark purple!  Berry doesn't bruise easily so he didn't have any!    Isn't it strange the differences in all people and surgeries.

We want to take a moment to send everyone here on OH blessing of the New Year.  May 2008 be everything and a bag of chips!  Love ya - Lynn&Berry

THANK YOU for sharing your journey with us!!!! I hope you don't mind, but my brother and SIL are thinking of having this surgery and I wanted to share your story with them!!!!  That it is possible for both to have the surgery and comeout successful!!!! I will be watching ya!!!! I totally understand about the brusing.  Pretty much my left side was one big bruise!!!! Light shade of purple/yellow!!  When I went to my 1st post-op appt, my surgeon was saying "you poor thing, what happened to ya"  It all went away though!!! Welcome to the losers bench!!!!!!!!!!!!!
