Energy...I need it!!

Hi Everyone,

I am looking for any help I can get with increasing my energy. I have always been anemic and since surgery it has gotten worse. I also struggled with fatigue and energy before surgery and have had various test and studies done with really not a ton of solutions. I really think I have all the signs of Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, but there really isn't a diagnosis for cure for that. I have increased my iron and get plenty of protein in. I know if I exercised more that would help. I am seriously tired 24/7…I never feel alert and could sleep all of the time.

For those of you that have found something whether it be a supplements, powder, food or whatever that has helped with your energy I would love to hear about it.

Thanks!!

First of all....you look so beautiful!! The thing I do for more energy is exercise. I joined a fitness center and workout 6 days a week. The more I workout the more energy I have. Do you have pain??? Those are also my symtoms ...I have Fibromyalgia. Like I said the more exercise I get the better I feel. Good luck...I am sure someone else here will have a better answer for you. Hugs, connie d

Hey girlie! How are you doing getting your B12 in?  Maybe you need to up your dosage of that - if you're low that can really contribute to fatigue.  Maybe you need to be taking it daily if you're only doing it weekly.  I certainly hope it's not anything more serious - maybe get your blood levels checked - hopefully it's just a vitamin or mineral deficiency and not CFS or Fibromalysia. Good luck finding the answer honey!

Hi Sabrina, you do look fabulous and I wish you felt as good as you look.  I agree with Connie, I too work out 6-7 days a week and seem to have much less energy when I miss a day.  It's hard to get started, but once you do and reap the rewards there's nothing like it.

Hi... I dont have any better answers than what the others have told you but I was chronically tired for the first six or more months.  I was losing and my body was exhausted all the time :( It sucked alot but I felt better as time went on. Watch your protien and water and check with your Dr. maybe you need b-12 shots instead? Hugs pretty woman!

This may sound odd - but have you tried yoga or meditation?  They are amazingly refreshing.  I also went to a class once and learned self-hypnosis.  I swear I feel like I've had a full night's rest after I do that.

Hi!  I just spent time reading your profile and looking at your pictures.  Wow!  You have come a long way.  You look fabulous.  Do you still follow the rule of waiting to drink a half hour and after eating?   Not that that has anything to do with energy.  I was just curious.  I agree with the others......I hate exercise, but when I do it, I feel like a reincarnated gal!  :O) Lisa

Thanks everyone for the encouragement and kind words.  I know I need to start working out.  I was doing so good walking everyday in the summer with the dog, but once the cold weather hit I stopped.  It is so hard now to get the energy to get to the gym.  I haven't tried the meditation thing, but was thinking about signing up for a yoga class through community ed.  I get my water in and don't drink with meals and get my protien in too.  I don't know??? I see my PCP on the 15th and I have my 9 month follow-up with the surgeon's office as well in Jan.  Hopefully they can help.   Thanks for all the ideas!!!
