I'm excited...the ball is rolling!
I saw my DR. today and he gave his blessing on me having this surgery. He signed the papers that need to go to Methodist requesting I be considered for RNY! I wasn't sure he would be supportive or not. He was toally supportive and was so happy to hear I would be going through such a great hospital. :O) I went directly to the post office and sent my papers to Methodist. Now the ball is rolling. I do have one question........Is the purpose of being on a medically supervised nutritional program to show that I can do it and I am serious about this? If that is the purpose, I could be in trouble. He has been seeing me since Sept. and I have gained 24lbs since then. You know how it goes when your body goes back to normal food...well I was just ending doing really well on the slim for life program and now my weight is sky rocketing. I'm not saying I didn't deserve to gain weight...but I need to know if all of you showed weight loss during the six months of the medically supervised time? Thanks so much! I am looking forward to meeting more of you tomorrow at the Eagan coffee! Yippee!
