I really like a drink called Fuse Slenderize...it comes in really yummy flavors such as cranberry/blueberry, orange/grapefruit, etc.  You can find it at Cub and WalMart at it costs about $1.50 for a 20 oz. bottle.  Make sure you select the Slenderize, the others are high in calories and sugar.  It's a nice treat.....I also like to add a squirt of Real Lemon to water to add a little flavor too.  Good luck, it'll get better.

Oh man, I bought a couple flavors of SoBee diet today, and the first one tasted like cough syrup, the second flavor just seemed sweet and thick, and oddly minty.  I did try some Aquafina flavor splash, citrus blend, and that didn't seem too syrupy, so maybe that will help me out.  I'll have to keep my eyes open for the Fuse slenderize.   It just occured to me that I could water down my pre-flavored waters.  Duh!

I never used to be much of a tea fan, but maybe my changing tastebuds will appreciate it now.  I hope!

Carol N. once posted about Better than Bouillon & I agree that it has very good flavor! It's nice on a cold day especially. I like Water Sensations flavoring. It's a liquid flavoring (at Cub, found near the Crystal Light, etc.) that's pre-measured for a 20 oz. bottle of water. Or, for water - I like to add a few slices of fresh lemon, orange, and cucumber. Very refreshing. Iced tea (natural, decaf) & SF lemonade ("Arnie Palmer") - mix 1/2 and 1/2 in a glass, or to your taste.

Good luck Christi! You're doing awesome!!!

I got a sample of the water sensation stuff from my nurse clinician, and it was alright.  I keep forgetting to look for it, though.  I like your idea for putting cukes, and lemons and oranges in water, that never occured to me.  Thanks!

I had to even switch my toothpastes at first! To this day I mix my generic crystal lite 1/2 as strong as it calls for...otherwise it tastes like super sugary koolaid to me!

Use popsicles too...I know its cold out, but it works!   I LOVE tea, hot tea is best for me.  You could try it cold too....even if its something you hated prior to surgery, you would be surprised how good it is now! Also, what my sister calls "spa water".... in a pitcher of water drop in one whole peeled cucumber and one 1/2 to 1/2 whole sliced lemon.   (I prefer 1/2 cucumber, 1/2 lemon)   the flavors infuse and are really light and refreshing....plus you can make just a glass at a time to test it and if you hate it, you have the beginnings of dinner for the family!

Thank you!  everybody has such good ideas.  Yeah, the popsicle thing has been a little tougher with the cold temps, but a gal's gotta do what a gal's gotta do.
