So what's your New Years resolution? I have gained so much weight within the last month (over 17 lbs, but that was because I was in the hospital) I actually have 12 lbs I need to lose again. My new year's resolution is to get back on tract and loose this weight and drink TONS of water. Once I lose 10 lbs I'm rewarding myself to a gym membership! Also I'm really trying not to smoke again and the money I'm saving will go towards tanning sessons.

Congratulations on making the first step!!! I wish you luck on getting back on track!!! I for one know that quitting smoking is very hard to do. It has been over 8 months for me and I know that I could not have done it without the precription 'CHANTIX'. Have you tried that?  For me, my News Years Resolution is to continue working my tool, and start working out more. I want to join a gym also . Now that Christmas is over I will be able to do that a bit easier. I want to be at my goal by my 1 year anniversary and that is just 7 months to go!!  CarolN

So after 8 months, does it get any easier?  When I was in the hospital I had to go cold turkey and it was 5 days without a cigarette so they (the doctors) decided that I didn’t need the CHANTIX because I had gone the 5 days at that point, plus no one was going to bring my butt outside in the cold and snow for me to smoke.   I have been thinking about calling the doc now that I’m home and “could” smoke now if I wanted to but I’m more worried about what’s going to happen when I go back to work in a couple of weeks.

Easiest thing I have ever done!!! Seriously, for me Chantix was a miracle for me!!! I don't even think about it and my husband still smokes. he does not smoke in the house and goes out to the garage but still it does not bother me at all. I am really and truly enjoying all the money i am saving, oh and the health benefits are OUTSTANDING!!!! I like being able to breathe again!!!! Chantix is different than anything else out there because it does not replace the nicotene. It lessens your withdrawel by telling your brain you don't want one. I seriously did not have any withdrawels from smoking this time!!! I seriously could be a commercial for the stuff, Love It!!!  Carol N

Well my New Years Resolution is to reach my goal.  I only have 40 lbs to go!  I would love to reach it soon.

I quit making New Year's resolutions a long time ago because it was too depressing when I inevitably failed to achieve them.   I quit trying to loose wt too because I would gain back plus some every time.  This year feels soooooooo different!   I think that I really can be successful with pretty much anything!  My hope and belief in myself is comming back!  Jean

CHANTIX is definitely the 'miracle' cure to smoking cessation!  I'd smoked for over twenty years, and last April decided enough is enough.  Got on the Chantix, which works TWO says:  not only reducing then eradicating the craving, but also reducing then eliminating the pleasure.  It's been eight months for me and even facing occasional stressors, I've had no desire whatsoever to have my house smell again, to have my cat sneezing again, nor to have my clothes reek of that foul addiction!  Everything will taste better, you'll breathe easier, and overall, having the feeling of accomplished mpowerment will envelope you!  Call now for your prescription!  Both 'da man and I are nonsmokers, which is unfreakingbelievable for our former record!  Oh, and I never believed in New Year's resolutions, which had set me up for failure regardless of subject--better for me iw daily affirmation!  Best wishes!  Hugs galore, Patti

My New Year's resolution is to get healthy by using this tool I have been given.  I hope to learn how to use it to get the maximum results.  I would also like to reach my goal in 2008.

I've never really made a serious effort at the New Years Resolution thing.   Knew I'd always choose to lose weight, and knew I'd fail.  Last year, I resolved to move ahead with WLS, and I made it!  So I should just resolve to reach my goal this year!  I'm at 8 months today, with probably 60-70 lbs to go before I feel right.  So I will use this gift I've been given, allowing as little deviation from the program as possible (okay so on the 24th and 25th I slipped up a bit, but my petty indulgences were NOTHING like in past years!).  And I will do more to exercise my shrinking body.  Never been very good at structured exercise, but I do need to find something that will help trim my mid-section.  I think my booty could handle a size smaller than I'm currently wearing, but my stomach still needs the room in these 20's to avoid the mother of all muffin-tops! I thank GOD for all of you here, for this place, to help me stay focused on the prize!!!
