Connie, You're such a sweetie!  You are always so encouraging!  I remember about 6 or 7 months ago when you were still almost house bound and now you're getting out and about and moving and shaking your thing!  Isn't this the greatest gift ever - to earn a new lease on life!  I couldn't be more grateful for WLS! Thank you for your constant and consistent encouragement - it is the only reason why any of us succeed! Love ya girlie!

Well girl....look at you!  WOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  You look SO good!  I know exactly how the head works.  I could take pics and didn't see any difference, but when my son put them side by side I could see it then.  Weird.   I am going to keep your brother in my prayers.  It's a scary thing.  I pray that his heart would change toward the surgery or that he would find a way to lose.   Good for you for posting your goals!  I'm SOOOOO proud of you!  You CAN do this!  I have complete confidence in you!

Pam, You're so encouraging!  I really appreciate all your support!  Thanks for the prayers for my brother - he definitely needs them.  Taking pics is definitely the best thing I ever did - it really helps me remember how far I've come and prevent me from getting down on myself for not being further than I am. Take care of yourself!

Thanks Dana!  I think the thing that helps the most is all the support from people on here and coffee and the support groups.  People like you that are so encouraging and supportive when I'm going through tough times has really helped a lot. You're doing great too honey!  How about a new avatar pic - I'm sure you've changed since your current one has been up! Hope you had a nice Christmas and an even better New Year!

Tracy, you are such a beautiful person!! You are doing great you can certainly tell from your pictures.  I love that you are so honest with your journey. I think this really helps others and me especially being a new post op person. You show that there are going to be struggles and that the road can sometime have bumps. For that I thank you!! I now know that if I hit a bump its just that a bump and move on to the next day. I hope that you achieve all that you want in 2008. I will be cheering for you.  I will also be praying for your family.  You are a great inspriation to me as I go through this journey. I feel that I will learn alot from you!! Have a wonderful day!
God Bless, Angela

Its so weird to hear that I'm an inspiration to others since I feel like I'm really not a "model" WLS patient.  This has definitely not been the road that I anticipated taking, but its where I'm at and maybe its the one thing that can really get me to make some changes.  I've known for a while (years in fact) that God has wanted me to make changes in my life - but its so easy to live by the flesh and ignore His prompting.  I'm hoping that I can finally learn whatever it is that He's trying to teach me. Anyway...I'm glad that I can help shed some light on the not so easy part of WLS and prepare others of the "what no to dos".  If it helps someone else, then my journey is worth it! I've really enjoyed getting to know you and look forward to more visits with you! Take care!

Congratulations, girlfriend - you look beautiful  It is always harder to look in the mirror and see changes, but photographs don't lie. Number one thing I notice - you have a neck!!  LOL  The rest of the weight will come off in due time, be patient.  I predict you will one day be wondering how to STOP losing!   You have set realistic goals for yourself - and you can achieve them! Hope to see your good looking self on Saturday at coffee.
