Thanks so much Peachy! It's a long journey we take, but with good support from friends like you, the journey is never taken alone!  I really appreciate all of your encouragement!   BTW - you are doing AWESOME on WW! Keep on working at it - you'll probably be at goal before any of us!  Hope to see you at coffee one of these days!  I miss you! Take care! Love Tracy

Hi doll-you look fantastic-as a large person, even after surgery, I can relate to the head games-thats why I started carrying my before pics with me!!  I started out in a size 6x/32W, and I am at a 16-18 now, 2 years out.  Yes, it is frustrating when you see others pass you by and get into the single digits of sizes.  I have NEVER been in single digits, and honestly don't think it will ever happen to me.  However, I would like to see the 12-14 range someday.  You can do it-you are determined and are setting good goals!  You are doing fabulous so don't beat yourself up-this is a LIFETIME journey, even if the first year or so is a race it seems.  I have been told time and again that this tool will continue to work if we use it correctly....so my new years resolution is to do just that.  We should meet and walk-I know you aren't far from me. Hugs to you and your furbaby!

Tracy, I'm so glad you took some pictures, I believe that is the only way I see it myself. I can tell I have lost clothing wise, but when you look in the mirror daily it is very hard to see. I know your brother and will pray for him, I am sorry he is having so much trouble. You know when I was a wee little girl (very little) Paul was talking to my mom at Spasstagon (? spelling) and afterward I had asked my mom if he was my dad, sad I know I didn't see my dad much and Paul looked a lot like him. Anyway I am so glad you are feeling better, the new year is upon us and You Can Do It!  It's nice to commit yourself to us, so we can help, and I too should commit to the group. Please update us tomorrow on how the Dr. appts. go.

Love Ya,

Laura

Laura! Thanks for the prayers for my bro - if you run into him, please don't say anything about me posting here - I'm sure he'd kill me for saying something publicly - I'm just concerned for him.  I know you won't.  Thanks for posting that tomorrow is my doc appt.  I had it in my head that it was a couple of days away because I thought today was Monday.  WOW - I can't believe it's tomorrow! Also - I just posted this in another thread, but OMG!  I love your new avatar pic!  You look just amazing - and yes, the pics are the best thing in the world.  I know there are some who just hate seeing pics of themselves, but at this point it's the only thing that helps me remember that I have in fact been successful! Thank you for all your support and encouragement - it's been really nice getting to know you again! Love ya girlie, Tracy

Great pictures Tracy, isn't it awesome to see how well you've done!!  I'm really impressed by your honesty and logging your committment here shows your willingness to change some things.  I pray everyday that I keep my good habits and don't fall back into my old ways.....it's quite a challenge.  Remember too that's it's not the destination, but the journey and you are learning much about yourself on your journey that will make your life even better when you reach your goal.   Keep up the good work!!

You're so right that it's a journey!  I think we get so stuck in the mindset that some day we will just arrive at our goal weight and the struggles will be over - oh contrar!  Just the opposite is in store - we will always struggle with weight issues - unfortunately it's just our burden to bear in this world!  I'm definitely glad that I took my before pics - it really helps me remember how far I've come. We still need to plan another Stillwater get together soon - Maybe we should do one sometime in January - I'll have to check when we're doing the tubing thing and the lodge thing and then plan around those.   Hope to see you soon!  Take care!
