I am overweight!!!!

I jumped on the scale today and was thrilled to find that I am now officially overweight instead of obese.  Merry Christmas to me.    I know that the people on OH will understand how happy I feel to be overwiehgt, where as some of my friends who have never even been overweight would probably consider it strange... Last Christmas I was miserable.  I had to squeeze into an uncomfortable size 26/28 shirt and I felt so awful about myself.  I made the New Year's Resolution to investigate WLS and I am so thankful that I did.  This Christmas has been so fun getting together with people and not obsessing about being the fattest person in the room and stuffing my face every second I got.  I had thought that I might miss all of the food that goes along with the holidays, but i am finding that I actually enjoy things when I know that one bite is all I am getting. I want to thank all of you for being supportive, inspirational and honest about your own journeys.  It has helped me tremondously in my own journey.  I wish you all continued success and the acheivement of your goals in 2008! Congratulations on being only overweight!!!  Coming from someone who has spent most of her life obese and morbidly obese-overweight is awesome!!!  It's such an inspiration to read others success. Merry Christmas to you! Debi

Congrats! I too have gone from Super Morbidly Obese (BMI 54) to Overweight (BMI 28). It is a great feeling. I love being able to fit in a booth, to be able to buy clothes that are cute (got a top today for $2.98) and being able to climb in a 2 year olds tent to play. Life is good!
