Here I go again... another delay with my surgery. I saw the Duluth Dr. in August and here I sit still waiting to hear.  I have since been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns - how I managed to get both is still a mystery to me... but I did..  Finally I got in front of the duluth board and they sent my paperwork to OHIP and now OHIP is telling me it will be 2 to 3 weeks but because of Christmas maybe not until the 2nd week of January... DELAY again... i am so fed up with all of this ... i cannot believe how disappointed I am right now.. sometimes I wonder if I am suppose to stay this way forever...  thanks to all who listened to me... i am so sad right now..Lori

So sorry to hear about yet another delay.  I'll keep you in my thoughts - but like Connie said, your surgery will happen so sit back and enjoy the holidays.

Lori, I am sorry to hear you had another delay and that you have been diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis and Crohns.   I'm sending prayers your way to keep you strong, and that your surgery will happen sooner than later.  In the meantime, try to enjoy the holidays and post again if your feeling down or just need to vent.   God Bless, Erika

Hi Lori!  So sorry to hear about your Ulcerative Colitis and Crohn's diagnosis.  My sister was diagnosed with Ulcerative Colitis (severe) before she had her large intestine removed (she had been misdiagnosed and been told to do the opposite of what she should have been doing), then when she started to have more issues they diagnosed her with Crohn's.  She had lost all of her muscle and was down to weighing nothing.  She couldn't even lift her foot enough to place it on the next step.  It was horrible for her.  She's doing great now however.  She's being treated with Imuran and Remicade. Things will get better.  Hold on, let them make sure that you are going to be healthy if they do the surgery.  The last thing you want is to have them rush into surgery and have something go wrong because they should have waited.  I know it's easy for me to say, I was in your shoes once and thought I was going to be delayed and it was hard, but kept trying to hold on to I wanted to be healthy and if something was found, I needed to take care of that first.  How is your treatment going for the UC and Crohn's?  Everything going good now?   Take care of you and please let us know what happens.
Hugs And Kisses Pam
