Went to the doctor's this morning and and found out he is cancer free!!!!!!  The tests came back from the fluid they took from around his lung.  There is bacteria there, not sure yet which antibiotic will kill it.  Waiting for more test results.  I knew he was looking for cancer, because sometimes tumors can release fluid AND you also have lymphatic fluid going thorough the lymph nodes that can contain cancer cells and such.  Anyways, TMI, they tested this fluid and no trace of cancer, just some bacteria.  WOOHOO!!!  We will find out more of a plan today because the Dr is going to speak with an infectious desease dr and lung dr.  He suspects that it is a chronic infection that is has been brewing there for a long time and said that it is really odd because people who have this are extremely ill.  My dad is walking around, no fevers really, generalized feeling of blah and slow decline.  NOW it can be treated and he will start to feel better, we are praying!  Thanks for your support and prayers!!! I love you all!! Lucy

I'm so glad to hear that there was no cancer in the fluid. So very cool. Man, my prayers are heard. I am sure they'll be ablel to deal with this darn bacteria.  On the off note, I'm a little dizzy from your avatar. Hee, hee.

Hugs,

Lori

Lucy, so glad to hear that things are looking up for your Dad.  It's hard to have a sick parent (and they think they worry about us!), but all is going to be well.
