Unions & the law?? Anyone??

Anyone here familiar with Unions and strike laws?? Please?

Only related to construction... what's up?

  My union is threatening strike and have said they’d fine anyone that crosses the line...I was curious if 1. can they do that?  And 2. How much can they fine someone? Thanks in advance!! 

As far as I know fines are legal.  My husband is a Teamster and I know if even another company in his union that he doesn't work for but delivers product to is on strike and he makes a delivery to their store he can be fined something like $500. 

I think it all depends where you work.  I work for the State of MN and when we striked years ago I know there were people that crossed and they were not fined.  I would talk to your union rep or ask around.   Good luck.
