Update again
Hi all,
No stricture.....Dr. said that my esophagus and new pouch are extremely irritated. My husband reassured him ( I was still out of it) that I had done NOTHING that I was not suppose to do and that I followed what I was told. So where did the irritation come from???? One of the nurses said "ulcer" but when I asked my husband about having an ulcer he said the Dr. didn't call anything an ulcer. So he gave me another med. to try and calm everything down.
I started thinking....I work in a 100+ yr old building and they are fully gutting and remodeling our whole floor...best yet...while we're working there everyday! I have come in over the last couple weeks and there has been white dust and crap all over my desk, computer, chair and my garbage can is almost all white now. I started to "taste" and could feel grit inside my mouth. I'm wondering if any of that has to do with it....Dr. Glass had to rush into surgery (bless his heart) after my procedure but I let his nurse know and she said she would certainly be talking to him about that later this afternoon.
They still have 3 more phases of this work to be done....I guess if you think about it...100+ yrs who knows what can all be in those walls...I know 1 of the other girls had called in a couple days cuz she got such a bad cough. I never thought about the fact that I had just had surgery and by inhaling this crud it could effect me in any way. But I might be wrong here too....still can't believe that the crap floating in the air and stuff I'm inhaling is doing me any good. Will keep everyone posted on what is up.....THANKS AGAIN FOR CHECKING ON ME....YOU ALL ARE GREAT!!!!
I am glad to hear that is wasn't a stricture, but it must be frustrating not knowing what it is that is causing you all the pain. I think you could be on to something with the dust and crud from the construction. I hope you are able to find an answer soon and that the medication you Dr. gave you helps.

Glad to hear that it wasn't a stricture or an ulcer. I agree - there might be something to your theory about all the crud floating around in your building. I can't believe that they are making you work in that environment...not a healthy one for anyone.
I hope they figure out what is bothering you soon!

Sherry...I am happy to hear you didn't have a stricture or anything like that. Hope the new meds help.
You are right.... all that dust and who knows what can't be healthy for you or anyone. Why aren't they closing off the areas they are working in?? That is crazy...you can all end up with respiartory problems or worse. I would be bringing it up to someones attention.
