Its been forever!

Life has really kept me away from here!   Well, as some may remember, in March my son & I left a very abusive relationship and moved from the cities back home to WI.

Since then, I've found a job, bought a house and joined a couple online dating sites!  Haven't been on a date yet, but sure have been learning a lot!   Just tonight, after chatting for a while, talked to a guy on the phone for a while...about threw up being nervous...he seems normal so far...we'll see where this one goes.   Its funny, I must have weirdo magnets on me!  Keep in mind these guys are all in their 30's to early 40's.  One builds model cars (the little plastic ones) and then if thats not bad enough,  he details them.  Yes folks, with a q-tip and toothbrush...good lord.  The next one lives with his mother, for no other reason than this.....he only "takes care of himself to a certain extent" whoa.  And last but not least, was bachelor number 3....he is just starting therapy, on meds, lives with mom while going to school (apparently been in school for ever) and if he "can just make it thru the holidays" he "should be ok".   Yep, thats what I got to pick from here in the boonies in WI!!!!!!! As for my weight...well lets say its still a struggle.  I have been maintaining, but thats not saying much.  I need to get off my rear, but working 45-50 hrs/wk, going to school part time and dealing with my new life and my son who is now a freshman in high school...exercise is running dead last on my list of things to do.  Sorry this ended up so long, but its been months!

Sounds like you've got some real winners to pick from over there in Wisconsin! Hang in there, it only takes one...you'll find him when you're least likely to be looking. That's usually how it goes....how it went for me! Take care...

Just like Pam said you will meet alot of toads before you find your prince.  I met my husband from an online dating place and I went through quite a few toads before I found him and on December 16th we will be celebrating our 7th wedding anniversary.  Just hang in there.  You will find the right guy for you when are not expecting it.

Thanks everyone, for the warm welcome back! Well, Bachelor #4, (what I'm calling him so I don't get attached to quickly) emailed me today and asked if he could call me this evening!  Cool!  I forwarded his profile and pics to my sister, mom & dad.  Apparently they have a say in all this, according to them I'm not a good man picker!!!  I guess looking at my last relationship they are right. So far they all are wishing me luck with this one.  And on the weightloss side...I was too busy thinking about Bachelor #4 to snack at work today!  Perhaps he could be the distraction I've been needing to get in gear again!

Man is it good to hear from you!  I hope the next set of bachelors is better to pick from!  Congrats on your new start and making it a success!

It is so great to see you back here....we have missed you.  So glad to hear that things are going better for you.   Yeah, dating in the middle ages is like the middle ages...yikes!  Some of the guys out there are priceless (and I don't mean in a good way!).
