Your support is priceless

Thanks all!

My 1 year post op appointment at the Fairview WLS Clinic last Thursday went well.....down from 292 on 12/21/06 to 159 on 12/9/07!

Thanks again, I have no idea why I was so worried about the clinic visit....they showed me my progression photos (still don't believe my eyes), gushed all over me, asked how I had done so well post op, and it was more like a reunion than anything, even though they all saw me at 6 months out! Nothing but support! I even saw pics of Sandie N on the wall...Sandie, you are a rockstar!

3 people in the office have gotten married since I last saw them, so I asked them all to rub off on me a bit :) My boyfriend and I brought up the subject for the first time this weekend, which was pretty wild. We are taking baby steps, which feels right to me...

And, they said at 161 (which I was last Thursday), I was right on, doing great, and on track.

Congrats to us all, and HAPPY SURGIVERSARY to December 2006 grads!!!! What a difference a year makes...

Check out our profiles for our 1 years.  I haven't even scheduled my 1 year....how bad is that???  I am proud of you surgery twin!!!!!  You are awesome!!!  So you and Jim talked about "it"....well you have to fill us in....

You BOTH look MAHVELOUS!!!!  You really do!!!  To look at either of you today, who'da even known you needed this surgery?!

Darla: It's pretty groovy, isn't it? I've been thinking about it, and I think that my adherence to the program guidelines will always "out me", and that is ok with me. I eat a little different than others, don't drink with meals, etc, and smart, intuitive people always note that and mention it to me. I don't mind explaining at all. I think it is one way I can hold myself accountable and be a resource for others. THANK YOU for the support, it is a HUGE part of my success, and I said as much at my appt! Megan
