I go for my one week checkup tomorrow afternoon and am so excited to be moved from clear liquids to full liquids I can hardly wait.  I keep looking at my parent's food and just drooling wanting to eat something substantial. My mom is taking me to my appointment tomorrow sinceit is 1 1/2 hours from their place where I am staying through the end of this next week.   I am wondering with the yogurt I know at this stage I need to avoid the stuff with fruit pieces, but will the 100 calorie stuff be okay or is there going to be too much sugar and I run the risk of dumping? I am not a fan of the plain yogurt so I am hoping I can have the light flavored stuff!

Congrats on your jump to full liquids.  Can't help you with the yogurt, but I'm sure you'll get a good answer here.  Your surgeon should be able to tell you as well.

I was told by my Nut to use Blue Bunny Sweet Freedom. It does have chunks of fruit in it but they are large enough to take out. It also has 5 grams of sugar. It was approved and it hasn't ever bothered me. Good luck finding one you are satisfied with. Hugs, connie d

Flavored is ok. Try to find the ones sweetened with Splenda - they should work ok for you!

The only thing I found that helped me get through my pre-op liquid diet was sugar free popsicles since you can crunch them itgives you at least some "chewing".  I also tried to stay as busy as possible and I cleaned out my kitchen of everything I couldn't have so it wasn't sitting there tempting me.  Good luck with the rest of your liquid diet, it is tough, but it is worth it.

I should call my nurse because I only saw SF jello and SF popsicles on the post op liquid diet. I bet I can have those.

I have been just about living on Dannon Light and Fit yogurt.  I love it.  It's low in sugar, fat and calories, and it's tasty.  The Dannon does have little bits of fruit in it, but if you don't want to sit and pick them out, I found that I can just run it through the blender and all of the chunks go away.

I've been eating Yoplait Lite Fat Free -- they have key lime pie, boston cream pie, vanilla, lemon and none of those have any fruit in them.  Further out they have apple pie and all the other fruits flavors with little chunks for when you can start having fruit.  They are lower in sugar too.
