I am Back!!!!!

I made it home from WDW yesterday!!!  Had a wonderful time!!!! I went to epcot, mgm and magic kingdom for all the christmas festivities!! Survived everything, LOL!  Lost 3 pounds!  Though my eating wasn't great! My dad handled it ok, however do to his current health status, could only do a little of it!  So my mom and I went through the parks together. My dad had his dr's appt with his oncologist today.  He has to have a thoracentesis (drain fluid from around his lung) on Tuesday.  He has fluid around his left lung that has been getting worse and the dr. thinks it is causing some problems, so he wants to know what the heck the fluid is!!!  He couldn't hear any lung sounds on his left side!  He had a chest xray today.  After the procedure, we meet with the dr for the results (in a week).  My dads health has been declining and he has lost a lot of weight.  ( he had esohageal cancer and then surgery to remove this), BUT he is snacking more and from the last time he LET my sister weigh him, he gainied almost 2 pounds.  So at least he isn''t losing anymore, he is already very thin!! Please pray for him!!! Love you all!!

So glad to hear that you had a good time at Disney! And congrats on losing 3#s in spite of Disney!  Now's the time to buckle down to reality... I will remember ya'll in my prayers.  That type of cancer is known to be nasty. ((HUG)) **SUE**

Yep...got to get back to reality, LOL..... Yes, esophageal cancer is BAD!!!  He was diagnosed with it over 2 years ago, went through chemo and radiation. Than last year it came back again and they did an esophagectomy.  His lymph nodes were all negative and it was contained in the esophagus.  He has been cancer free since.  However, the concern about it is always there!!!
