? regarding percentage of absorbed nutrients after surgery.

I guess I cant find it online cos I cant seem to put into words what Im asking. After the bypass of the intestine...my Dr said a certain percentage of nutrients arent absorbed anymore.  Does anyone know how much that is...I keep thinking 30 %???? If any of you have any clue what Im talking about please responde' VOO play  < grin >  Huggles

Calcium and B vitamins are no longer absorbed.  Reason for the B shot and the calcium pills.  The surgeon said calcium is usually absorbed in the stomach via the digestive juices (my words not his).  No idea what the percentage is, but that's what I got from the seminar.  Korina
