This is such great news! I was thinking about you yesterday and hoping and praying you'd hear something! And by all means - knock that little voice off your shoulder and put in two weeks, go home and be with your family over Christmas and come back refreshed to start a new job in 08!
I look forward to hearing all about it tomorrow night! Take care!

I'll make it easy and simple for you "say goodbye!" Maybe they will make your nasty boss work to help fill in!! My thoughts are that you owe them nothing! Give them a two week notice. Go see your family for the holidays and recharge for your new job!! Listen to me!! Besides the main reason you were so stressed out and mad was they were not going to give you the time out that you requested. Remember they put you in the position not you by the management practices that she didn't follow. Congrats on the new job!! Like I said when you get shafted it always seems to work out in the end! to bigger and better and 4 dollars an hour more seems way better! Good luck with your decision.

Lori! I am so happy for you! I too, like Sandi, have to say the Fairview Southdale is an awesome hospital!
I say, give your two weeks and get yourself down to your family for the holidays! The employer can ask you to leave right away if they feel there would be an issue with ethics or performance. That's me speaking from an accounting background solely...but I think it can be true for any position. Of course I don't know if the nursing union protects you at all, but that may also be the case.
What an awesome Christmas gift! And and awesome way to start the new year.
Hugs!!!!
