You so deserve to take the time you need to yourself and visit your family and relax before beginning your new job!  As someone else said, "Would they really care if you were the one?  No, any one of them would go ahead and do what was best for them.....now it's time to care about YOU!

Congratulations Lori on your new job!!!  What a great way to start the New Year.  I was going to say put in the notice and spend time with your family over the Holidays.  It is hard being away from family and anytime I get a chance to head home I do it.
