OT - Navel piercing

Help, Friends - My 14 (almost 15) yr old wants her belly button pierced for Christmas.  Daddy said we have to make it happen.  We live in Brooklyn Center.  Anyone k now where one goes to have it done & what it may cost?  This is all she wants for Christmas & has been waiting for several years for Daddy to say yes.  Help! I would recommend Forever Yours in Anoka. It's right on Main Street just East of 169/Ferry St. I have gotten a few piercings there and have many friends that have also along with tattoos. I don't personally know of any place in Brooklyn Center.

Walk-In is fine for piercings. They have all kinds of jewelry there to choose from, just show up with a body part to be pierced, money and ID and you're good to go. I remember when I got my navel done, back right out of HS I had gotten down to a size 14 and thought I would get my navel pierced. It was the coolest thing ever at the time. It was such an adrenaline rush. Since then I had gotten my tragus and tongue pierced. All of my piercings have been out for awhile now. I do miss my tragus though. I had to remove it for Surg Tech school, no jewelry whatsoever.

Laura, I would NOT walk in....you should call first as she is only 14. When does she turn 15? We live in St. Cloud and could not find anyone to do any piercing on anyone younger than 15 once 15, Cloud 9 would do it (my daughter has a few, she just turned 16). They have moved from St. Cloud now so there isn't anywhere here that will pierce unless you are 16 now. They do have a Cloud 9 somewhere down in the cities but I'm not sure where. Maybe you'll find more places in the cities that do pierce at a younger age...but I would call first to make sure.  Just a heads up with the age thing.

Thanks, Sherry - I called them & she has to be 15 with a valid state-issued id - no birth certificate, no mom's word - a stste id.  She will have to wait until after sports as well, so we are looking at June after school is out.  She is going to be soooo disappointed - I don't even want to tell her!  Thanks for the info, though.  Better to know aheard of time rather than let her continue to gett her hopes up! :-( Laura

Saint Sabrina's Parlor of Purgatory is the cleanest and most reputable reputation in Minnesota.  They are on Hennepin Ave in Minneapolis, she will need a parent and ID

had my belly button pierced once when I lost a good bit of weight - LOVED IT - my OB made me remove it with my last pregnancy and I never put it back in or got repierced

 

now I want a tattoo when I get to goal and I'm confused on which of the places you suggested to go too - have any of you PERSONALLY gotten a tat from any of the aforementioned places?  Perhaps someone you know?

Hi TIA, I don't know where you live, but in St. Paul is where I go.  I will only go to Gary at Permanent Skin Art.  He cares more about his art than the $$$$ and is a awesome artist and tattoo artist.  I have several from him and he designed my butterfly coming out of the cacoon for me to symbolize my surgery.  All of my tattoo's are personally designed by him with my input and I have never been disapointed.
