I say after Christmas (too much going on). Sat late afternoon into evening (hubby works till 4 and I know he would like to come) I'm ok with either a potluck or not.

OMG!  This sounds like so much fun!  After Christmas for sure....a Saturday afternoon/evening would be awesome!  Potluck or chalet sound good to me!

Elm Creek Park Reserve is just a whistle west of the Osseo/Maple Grove area.  From Burnsville, I would think you'd probably take 35W north to 694, 694 west to 169, 169 north to Co Rd 81, and 81 west to the Park!  Probably about an hour's drive, but SOOOO worth it!!!  C'mon & join the party, Lynn!!!
