The Park Nicollet Clinic program I'm in doesn't count calories so much.  We each sugar and fat free when possible, of course, but we have to get our protein grams in first -- EVERY DAY!!!  They give us suggested foods for different stages of food eating for after surgery as the pouch shrinks and heals.  Before surgery we were on a 10 day liquid diet -- again with suggested menu items.  I lost 16 pounds on the liquid diet before surgery.   So not a calory answer for you -- sorry...

Fitness is not about age or a size -- it's really about an attitude and life style!!!

My program doesn't go by calories....we need to have a certain amount of protein and a limited amount of food. Eventually we can eat up to a cup but aren't supposed to go over that amount. I myself have about 85% of my meal dense protein. I am currently eating about 2/3 c. at each meal. I get all my protein from food. I don't do shakes and things. I have about 65 grams of protein a day. Hope someone else can help you. Hugs, connie d
