My surgeon, Dr. Thomas Jones, and hospital (Park Nicollet/Methodist Hospital in St.Louis Park, MN) accepts Medical programs, at least mine, which is Medica Choice Care (state pay).
The staff there, before, during, and after procedure are great. Hope this helps someone!

I have Blue Plus through MinnesotaCare (I pay a monthly premium for that) and they cover bariatric surgery through Fairview Southdale in Edina, MN and Park Nicollet Methodist Hospital in St. Louis Park, MN.
They do require some things before being approved such as 6 months of supervised weight-loss appointments with a doctor or dietician. I will be going with Park Nicollet and I know the program there is all inclusive with dietician, psychologist, physical therapy and the like.
I know too that if someone out there with public assistance health care is looking for this surgery, they can call the health plan they are enrolled in (such as Blue Plus) and ask where the plan will cover the surgery and get a listing of places to consider.

Does anyone know of facilities that will do tummy tuck removal of skin after weight loss over 100 pounds that also accepts mn MA or medicare? very depressed about no support to finish the process after weight loss. I hope that support groups can have forum to support each other before and after procedures. It is also very important.

Surgery is done at United Hospital in St. Paul. The surgeons office has 2 offices, 1 in Maplewood and 1 in St. Paul near United Hospital. St. Paul Surgeons also has Dr. William Rupp and Dr. Peter Kelly who do bariatric surgery. I highly recomment Dr. McGreevy. He is very knowledgable and nice. The staff of St. Paul Surgeons is very kind as well. United Hospital is the best hospital I have ever been to.
