OT-Alexander's Lion cut!!

Here are some pics of Alexander's new Lion cut.  This was his first one!!  It was way over due as he had some bad mats that I could not cut (he wouldn't let me, LOL).  So he got shaved!!  He is more happy, loving and cuddly with me now (maybe trying to keep warm. lol.  NAH Its sooo warm in this apt!).  He must have been uncomfortable!!  Anyways, here are some pics!!  Princess gets her cut next week while they are being boarded and we are at WDW!!

We use to do that to my cat too.  My brother nicknamed her "bald butt" during those times.

Adorable!!!  We used to have a groomer shave our kitty's butt -- she was too fat to keep it clean herself -- we just called her "sh** ass".  She hissed all the way there and back!!!!

I've seen this before and thought it was a joke. (ding dong Amy) But, knowing my in-law's fluffball is also a sh_ _ a$$ like Barb's, I can understand the shaving. However, something about the pink skin tone freaks me out (sorry). Was he crabby after, or was it just the look he gave you for that pic?

LOLOL!!!!!!!  I caught him in the act of cleaning himself and he looked up at me with his mouth open wide!  I snapped his pic at the right time, LOL.   I think he loves being shaved, he is like a new kittie.  Can't wait for princess to be shaved, maybe she won't be so moody, LOL. Love ya!!

We often do this with my 28 lb Maine Coon/ Persian cat "Bobkat".  He loves going to the groomer he purrs the whole way through his hair cut and rolls around with his belly in the air.  He even loves playing with the dogs (he doesn't know the difference between dogs and cats).  He comes home and prances in front of his brothers ( our 2 short hair cats).  I read somewhere cats actually get very depressed when they have matted hair.  

WOW....That would make sense why Alexander was not acting right the 2-3 weeks before his shave.  He didn't want to be held or picked up and he slept alot!!!!  SInce he has been shaved he is a new kittie.  Prancing around, teasing his sister (princess) and being much more affectionate and loving!!  I am hoping he will begin to love being groomed!!  Thanks!
