How much do you exercise?

I'm curious about how often people are exercising and what type of exercise are you doing?  If you don't exercise, let me know.  If you do daily, weekly, occassionally, etc.   I personally go for 3-6 mile walks (was almost daily, now haven't gone).  Thanks, Korina

Not at all!  Movement has become very hard for me even in little spurts.  Have to work on that though.  I just read a post about Denise Austin having a program on at 6:00a  for a half hour everyday and everyday is different.  Thought I might try tivo'ing it and see if it is any good.

In nice weather, I walk the dog all the time -- 3 to 5 times a day for 15 minutes.  Now that it is colder, or when it rains, I have an elip. machine I do once a day for 15 minutes plus walk all day at work or I will go to a mall and walk for 30 minutes.  I work downtown so on days where my evening will be busy (group night), I will walk the skyways for 30 minutes at noon. When you meet with your physical therapist, they normally will tell you what stretches and exercises to do and how frequently.  I'm supposed to do three 15 minute walks 3 days a week.  I do way  more than that -- but my energy is way up since RNY so I don't mind it at all!!!

Hi there, I don't walk...wish I could get into it more, but I never did. I did join a gym and started "Aquafit", a water class and will be doing some toning type classes...like a pilates or yoga class...and if I decide the gym is to much for me with all the crowds, I'll get a couple video's of the same thing. I'm on a plan of 2-3 times a week only. Sherry-

I was just walking everyday ....2 to 3 miles. It is now too cold to walk outside so I have joined a gym. I do the treadmill for 20 minutes and then the eliptical for 10 minutes then several other machines. I am there about one hour daily. I would so much rather be outside...ugh!! connie d

Before I started back to work last week, I was walking with the dog for about an hour a day.   But now on work days, it is dark (and cold) when I get home, so need to do something to replace those walks.    We are still walking on the weekends though.     And I guess this is a good reminder that I need to start doing my arm exercises too

Hey there girl!  We have to get together and do "lunch" soon!  Check out Snap Fitness downstairs... I have a rotational workout that I do at Snap most every day at lunchtime - so convenient.  I am hoping to also get into the one at home on the weekends. I do 2 days of weights to firm and tone both upperbody and legs and one day of aerobics (eliptical or treadmill).

Korina,

I had been walking 5 days a week, but with the colder weather I started going to the community center 3 days a week. There I walk and lift weights. I am still trying to get something in on the other days.

I'm still walking 7 days a week for 1 hour outside (BBBRRRRRRR) but I've asked the hubs for a treadmill for xmas to save me from turning into a popcycle. I also just started pilates 3 days a week for toning.
