Well dear, I don't know how old your daughter is, but that made me laugh~  You could just go with the flow. when my daughter got her tongue pierced, she convinced me to get a tatoo ! Via the revolution!

Good Morning, My Friend............

I think I have told you my story of when my oldest son was in his teens (long hair times) the advice I received from a very dear friend and a therapist..............."GO****'S ONLY HAIR".  IT COULD BE A WHOLE LOT WORSE.  GET OVER IT"!!  Well, I got over it; but he's still wearing his hair long.  But he's also the greatest of sons that a Mom could have...always there in time of need.  Inasmuch as you have met him, you know where I'm coming from this morning.   I do love knowing that although times change a lot of things never change.  You made my morning, my friend.

Have a "great" day!!

Love ya.....................Granny Eileen

HIJACK! Eileen, will you be able to get to the coffee klatsch on Dec 17?  I'm not sure WHERE it'll be--I think somewhere in Eagan---but it'd be soooo neat to meet you! ((HUG)) **SUE**

Hi Sue,

I'm planning on being there as I am really want to meet you too.  I'm hoping it will be in Eagan as the Black Sheep closes at 7:00 and that doesn't give much to meet all of us that want to meet you.  Is Barb setting up the time and place? See you on the 17th and will be e-mailing before than.   Hugs......................Granny Eileen

better her hair than something worse.  my daughters both did lots of different things with their hair.  i found it amusing for the most part.  as long as they knew it could damage it long term - it was ok by me.  just take pictures.  she'll look back and get a good chuckle. have a good one. dorthe

Linda, How old is your daughter? Mine is 16 and I've let her be "her", she has blue and pink in her hair (see my profile and pics, you'll see her) her eyebrow and nose pierces (little mini diamonds was our compromise). BUT she is a very good girl...it was hard to let her be her...but as long as she follows the rules and applies herself, then I trust her judgement. It's hard to let go...just better for them to experience it now then go wild when they get out on their own with no parental guidance. Good luck!! Peace be with you!! It'll be ok.

I'm reminded of a commercial that I so greatly agree with.  It's the one where the teenage son comes bounding down the stairs to his mom in the living room and he's got rather goth clothing on, you know all black and spikey and his hair is wacked out and I think he even has make up on.  The narrator says, "Don't worry what they look like, just be sure to know what they're up to."  I think it was a great message that just because your kid looks like a freak doesn't mean they're up to no good and just because your kid looks like an angel doesn't mean they're not! It doesn't matter what they look like - all that matters is that they're not doing stupid stuff with stupid people! I love the idea of taking a picture - I'm sure there will come a day when you'll need the perfect black mail pic!   Oh the joys of being a parent - there's a reason God hasn't granted that job on me! Take care - love ya!

I've always been to to 'pick my battles'. And sometimes I actually DID pick 'em.   (My daughter gave me every gray hair that I try to colour over.)     As long as the subject at hand doesn't hurt her or anybody else---is it worth a battle?! Hair does grow.... And you're being a good mom to let her do her hair the way she wants! ((HUG)) **SUE**
